News Plus is a premium theme created by Zidalgo designs. One news layout with a mix of magazine style. Then again – what defines both categories in the first place.  I’ll try to explain.

News Style

- One that doesn’t have much graphics and visual elements. A News style website may have images – but they’re strictly related to the articles and / or ads. News style also incorporates mass categories, multiple authors and rapid updates of – well, news. Needless to say, websites such as: CNN, LA Times and MSNBC are prime examples of News style websites. News Plus Theme Zidalgo does have a News Style Layout. Minimal images – all related to posts and ads. Can support many categories, authors* and articles. *The About the Author section in the sidebar of single posts is very clever:

Magazine Blog Style

- Magazine Style are websites that are updated less frequently compared to News Style. Categories may be fewer, usually revolving your sites’ subject matter. Just like in print – it usually presents “Feature” articles that are boasted somewhere in the front page to attract readers. It serves as the cream article for the issue: “FEATURED THIS MONTH”. Good examples of magazine styled websites are: Smashing Magazine, Slam Online and Import Tuner.  News Plus theme is like a magazine because it supports feature posts that separates itself from the regular posts:
