Talk about options. WP-Vybe premium theme from Solostream is packed. I don’t know where to begin. First lets look at the most important factor: how it looks. We can scratch the color schema – this theme’s got 10 built in CSS options. If you don’t find one that suits you – I don’t know what will. Note that CSS options is where you can change colors of the fonts and background from a single click in the admin panel. We can forget about layout – this theme can morph into either a two column or a three column page – also from the admin panel.

The homepage:

Good sized header. This is always good for large logo placement. If this doesn’t establish identity – what else will. Although you have the option of using a graphic or text for logo. Navigation is excellent. Supports multi level child links for both pages and categories. Note that background color, font sizes, link colors can be changed from the admin panel. The Feature section is situated on top of older posts. An optional feature glider that glides upwards as you click the article on the right – very nice. Again almost all aesthetic elements for this section can be controlled from the admin panel.

The containers for older posts and sidebars are very well done. Excellent spacing and placement as well as good fontology and color schema. Once again – all can be modified from the admin panel.

The Inner Pages

The single, archive and “page” pages have a consistent look. Again – many aspects can be modified in a click of a button from the admin panel.

The Footer

The footer is a basic flat box with standard copyright and powered by wordpress credits. Guess what – you can control color, size and alignment settings from the control panel. I would like to see you be able to change the actual content from the admin panel though.

Features I liked

• Excellent ad management – As many advertising blocks you can handle. This theme supports large 728 x 90, 468 x 60, 300 x 250 and 125 x 125 images which you can setup without touching the HTML
• Subscription Form Set Up – Feedburner setup from the control panel. Very useful and effective.
• Gravatar Support – Fancy way to present your authors and commentators
• 10 CSS options inlcuded – I mentioned this already

Summary

WP-Vype is a unique theme that gives you control over almost all elements of your website. Why would you want all this control? – Why wouldn’t you.  If you’re going to purchase a premium theme – you might as well have all the bells and whistles you can handle.

WP-Vype sells for $99 single site, $199 premium and $299 for developers.
