For photographers: That’s the idea behind Flash Frame. Developed by the gurus at Shutter Themes – a division of iThemes dedicated solely to photo websites. Flash Frame is very simple. And I believe it was designed that way for a purpose. Sort of lets your “pictures do the talking” type of thing. Background options is either black or white – this way it doesn’t “clash” with your photos. The use of small grey fonts and wide open spacing between the elements also gives the pages a “not-so-busy” feel – which is what you want in an photo website. In addition, being simple opens up an array of customization possibilities. Sort of like an empty canvas – ready for your splash of creativity. What more can you ask for.
The Opening
The Front page of the website includes just a huge slideshow. Maybe typical – but that’s because it does the job. Slideshows capture lookers. Image after image of your attention grabbers, there is no better way to expose your best work.
The Blog and Inner Pages
Inside the blog template is another showcase of photos. What seems like a gallery – are actually individual posts. When clicked, a larger version of the image is displayed plus details:

Having this functionality enables the photographer to add more information about each shot. Who wouldn’t want to read about what is going on in the artist’s mind at time of creation. Right below the large image are small thumbnails as navigation buttons. More like a previous and a next post – the viewer can stream through your work as if reading your posts.

Flash Frame is just one of many photographer themes at Shutter Themes. Check out their stuff from this link. Flash frame sells for $79 single use.
